overcast and foggy almost the entire time.
luckily i took a vest/ arm-warmers and full finger gloves
rode the first 40ish at an easy pace with anh and paul. ran into chuck and valerie around the 40 point (just before 2nd rest stop).
took the 40-60 bit fast w/ paul as it was always windy there in previous years
for 60-100 took off on my own to stay warm.

my wheels were warranty replaced by the trek store, as gary said they should not have had spoke issues like they were having (got the spokes adjusted for the popping noise 3x)

long ride. wasn't planning on it going so long, so i only took an energy bar and 1 gel, but it was really nice out after some mini showers near the beginning.
ended up using my last resort gel as well as the food i had brought and limped home.
tried out some route variations, i think i like the way i went, want to try it again.
got a tip from a rider i ran into on the 101, that elcamino real/la costa has some nice climbing.
